BAKING CONTEST & Bale sale - FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2024
NOTE: BAKING CONTEST WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY, NOT SATURDAY
Each Year the Stone Lake Cranberry Festival's Baking Contest is a lot of fun and a huge success! If you would like to enter your Cranberry Creation please follow the directions below.
FIVE CATEGORIZES
Contestants are allowed to submit as many entries in any category they wish. Judges will determine the category should there be any question. If there happens to be a category with no entries, that category will be eliminated from the judging.
NEW THIS YEAR: Cranberry Cookbooks - $10
Recipes from the last decade have been complied into a Cookbook and sold at the Baking Contest and at different businesses throughout town prior to the festival. Available at Shell Lake State Bank - Stone Lake Branch, Stone Wreath Boutique, and the Washburn County Visitor Center in Spooner.
Day of Festival available at Cranberry Corner.
TWO DIVISIONS
Senior - 18 & Older
Junior - 17 & Younger
Cranberries or Cranberry Products must be used in each recipe.
Judges will use the following criteria:
All contestants must sign a release form giving the Cranberry Festival permission to photograph and publish recipes along with contestants name and photo if they so desire. Items entered into Baking Contest will be offered to the public in a Bake Sale immediately following contest as a fundraiser for our community. Thank you for your support!
Contestants and the Public are encouraged to attend.
PRIZES
Grand Prize - Senior Division - $50.00
Grand Prize - Junior Division - $50.00
1st Prize - Each Category & Division - $30.00
2nd Prize - Each Category & Division - $25.00
3rd Prize - Each Category & Division - $20.00
All prizes to be awarded at the Lions Hall at the conclusion of contest.
If winner is not present at time of announcement Prize, money will be mailed to the address listed on the recipe card.

- Desserts & Cakes (Minimum: 6 servings or Full cake)

- Appearance - Shape and Color
- Creativity
- Texture
- Taste
- All entries are to be delivered to the Stone Lake Lions Hall. Note: Moved from Fire Department
- All entries must be on disposable serving dishes.
- Drop off baked goods between 3:00-5:00pm at the Lions Hall on Friday prior to Festival.
- Please Note: All baked items are considered donations to the Bake Sale that will immediately follow the contest.
- Judging of items begins at 5:30pm.
- Bake Sale immediately following contest, Free Will donation. Public is encouraged to attend.
- Recipes, complete with ingredients and baking instructions, must accompany each entry.
- On back of EACH printed recipe, contestants must also include their Name, Division, Category, Address and Phone
- Entries without recipe and all required information will be disqualified.
- Note: Entries dropped off prior to 3:00pm that do not include all required information will be disqualified.
- Please take time to read above to ensure your item will qualify to be judged.
